Data security and privacy at Cuego
You trust Cuego with your organisation's customer contact. Below you can read in plain language how we handle that data, what you may expect from us and which agreements we put in writing.
What we promise

Your data stays yours
We process customer data solely to deliver the service to you, on your instructions. Cuego does not become the owner of your data and does not use it for its own purposes. On cancellation you get your data back or we delete it, your choice.

No AI training on your customer data
We do not train AI models on the content of your customer contact. Your emails, chats, conversations and customer data are used to generate answers for you, not to improve models.

Strict separation between customers
Every customer has a fully separated data space. At database level we enforce per row that you can only reach your own data. One customer's data cannot technically be visible to another.

Encryption and shielded storage
All connections run encrypted over HTTPS. Sensitive documents such as invoices, attachments and call recordings are held in shielded storage and are only reachable through short-lived, signed links.

Processing within the EEA
Your data is stored within the European Economic Area. Where data is processed outside the EEA for AI processing, this happens exclusively with carefully selected partners and under a valid transfer mechanism (Standard Contractual Clauses).

Role-based access
Access to the platform runs through personal accounts with role-based permissions. Passwords are stored encrypted and two-factor authentication is available.

Data processing agreement available
As a processor we enter into a data processing agreement (GDPR, article 28) with you. It sets out the agreements on processing, the security measures and the partners involved. Request it through your contact person.

A clear process for incidents
Should there unexpectedly be a data breach, we inform you without undue delay and at the latest within 48 hours of discovery, with the information you need to meet your own notification duty.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure (“right to be forgotten”), restriction and portability of personal data. The platform supports deleting a contact with all associated data, so you can handle a data subject request straight away.
Who signs the data processing agreement?
A data processing agreement is worth as much as the party signing it. Cuego is a Dutch company, registered with the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce. That number lets you verify in the trade register who is behind the platform before you hand over customer data.
