How to choose customer service software without believing the demo
Every vendor shows a question that ends well in the demo. The question that matters is what happens with the one that goes wrong. Six tests to tell packages apart, and where Cuego stands.

A list of the ten best packages doesn't help, because the best package doesn't exist independently of your situation. A webshop with four thousand WISMO questions a month needs something different from an installation company with fifty calls a day. What does help: knowing which six questions really pull packages apart.
Those six are below, with what a good answer looks like for each. Take them into every demo you do, including ours. A vendor who starts hedging on question four tells you more than a three-page feature list.
The situation
Where a choice usually goes wrong
The demo shows a question with a clean answer, while your busiest day consists of questions with missing data.
The price on the website is per user, and only in the quote does it become clear which functions sit in which plan.
The integration with your webshop exists, but doesn't deliver exactly the field your customer question is about.
How it works in practice
With that context in place, this is what the next step looks like.
Ask about the question that goes wrong
Have them show a question where the data is missing or contradictory. What does the system do then? Guessing is the wrong outcome, handing over with context is the right one.
Calculate the price on your volume
Put your own number of questions and users into each vendor's calculation. Per seat and per resolved AI question scale very differently from a fixed bundle.
Test the integration on a real field
Not whether the integration exists, but whether it fetches the return window, the tracking and the stock status your customers ask about.
The six tests
1. What happens when the system doesn't know?
A good answer is: it says so plainly and hands over with everything it already checked. A system that always answers something will at some point invent something.
2. What does the price hang on?
Per user, per conversation, per resolved AI question or per bundle. This determines whether automating saves you money or costs it.
3. What customer data sits next to the conversation?
Order, delivery status, return history and earlier conversations, or just name and email. This saves half a minute of searching per question.
4. Can the system also do something?
Register a return, assign a task, schedule an appointment. Answering without the action behind it leaves the work standing.
5. Who is allowed to look?
If a colleague from the warehouse costs a seat, the answer stays stuck in support while it's already known elsewhere.
6. Where is the data and who are the subprocessors?
Ask for the data processing agreement and the list of subprocessors. A vendor without those in public costs you time later in your own GDPR accountability.
From context to result
What it delivers
What bringing context and action together means in practice.
The question that pulls packages apart: what happens with a question without an order number? Cuego asks for the email address on the order, looks up the orders for it and says plainly when nothing turns up.
In case of doubt the conversation goes to a human, with the reason attached.

Frequently asked questions
That question has no general answer, and a vendor who says otherwise is selling something. It depends on your volume, your channels, your integrations and whether you mainly answer questions or also carry out actions. The six tests on this page are meant to make that trade-off for your situation, even if the outcome is a package other than Cuego.
